La Lux Art Gallery di Trieste,
città mitteleuropea a spiccata vocazione internazionale, ha l’onore di ospitare l’esposizione personale dell’artista messicano Manolo Cocho, inserita nell’ambito del Mex-Pro, Mexico Art Project, iniziativa di scambio culturale promossa dal gruppo 78 e curata da Maria Campitelli.
E’ per me un vero piacere avere l’occasione di presentare le opere pittoriche, le sculture e le istallazioni di un Maestro del quale la sensibilità artistica e la ricerca interiore e spirituale sono così riconosciute e apprezzate a livello internazionale.
Credo che l’oggettiva valenza culturale ed artistica del lavoro di Manolo Cocho possa far riscoprire e vedere sotto nuova luce ciò che ci circonda, interpretato dall’illustre rappresentante di un mondo così diverso dal nostro ma così ricco di tradizione, arte e storia.
La possibilità di stargli accanto ha avuto per me il significato di scoprire come sia possibile infondere entusiasmo e amore per l’arte e per la natura nei suoi diversi aspetti, in particolare quelli più semplici che spesso guardiamo senza vedere.
La mia sensazione è quella di aver conosciuto non soltanto un ambasciatore dei valori culturali ed artistici del suo Paese e di antiche civiltà, ma soprattutto un uomo, un artista e nello stesso tempo un maestro straordinario.

The Lux Art Gallery of Trieste,
Middle-European city renowned for its international vocation, has the honour to host Mexican artist Manolo Cocho’s one-man show, as part of Mex-Pro, Mexican Art Project, an initiative based on a cultural exchange program promoted by gruppo 78 and curated by María Campitelli.
It gives me great pleasure to have the opportunity to exhibit the paintings, sculptures and installations of a Master whose artistic sensibility and inner and spiritual research are well recognized and appreciated internationally.
I believe that the objective cultural and artistic value of Manolo Cocho’s work can make us rediscover, and see under a new light, all that which surrounds us, interpreted by an illustrious representative of a world so very different from ours but so rich in tradition, art and history.
The possibility to have been at his side has meant the discovery of how it is possible to infuse enthusiasm and love for Art and for Nature in all their different aspects, particularly those which are so simple that we often see them without really looking at them.
The sensation that has taken over me is that of having met and gotten to know not only an ambassador of his country’s cultural and artistic values as well as those of ancient civilizations, but mainly a man, an artist and, at the same time, an outstanding teacher.
